This fiber optic extender is an effective and affordable transmitter and receiver set for transmitting single link DVD-D signals over long distances using fiber optic cables. The set uses all-digital technology for perfect, pixel-perfect transmission of computer video images at resolutions up to 1920x1080p@30hz, including HDTV 1080p/60 and 2K. The DVI 104 extends DVI-D signals up to 20km over single fiber optic cables.The transmitter and receiver are in very compact housings in the form of connectors with DVI connectors on one side and industry standard fiber optic cable LC connectors on the other. For simplified installation, the cables can be routed in cable ducts or other narrow spaces without the transmitter and receiver being connected. In addition, the transmitter and receiver can be connected directly to DVI sources and displays, eliminating the need for special mounting accessories.
It is ideal for many different applications where high quality, long distance transmission of high resolution content is required. Because the content transmitted over fiber is secure from outside access, applications using fiber are preferred in many commercial environments, as well as in the rental and events, and medical sectors
