SDI is normally run over coaxial cable on the BNC connector, however, the maximum cable distance is limited to about 100 meters.
This kit is a compact power house that will allow any user to transport four channels of 3 Gbps HD-SDI Serial Data Interface over a single strand of fiber. In addition, this Thor Fiber Transmitter and Receiver Kit will send RS485 in reverse for easy control over the kit. This robust unit creates an easy drop in environment for users requiring multiple HD-SDI sources on one Fiber across any application

No Link Alarms
The link alarm status on both the transmitter and receiver indicates when the link is not functional.
